Annual meeting of fruit and vegetable processing sector enterprises will take place on 10-12 March 2008 in “Issyk-Kul Aurora” sanatorium, Komsomol village. Current event will be held within AFVEK (Association of fruit and vegetable enterprises of Kyrgyzstan) under the support of “Local market development” projects /Helvetas -ICCO/ and regional project of AgLinks “Development of Agricultural Links”.
Directors of all fruit and vegetable enterprises and of a number of dairy enterprises, representatives of government, financial and donor organizations operating with the industry are invited to the meeting for elaboration of the plan of operations and priorities of development of the industry for the year 2008. Participants will be presented with the report of the Association of fruit and vegetable enterprises of Kyrgyzstan (AFVEK) on the work carried out over the year 2007, also a presentation will be held on the strategy of development of the fruit and vegetable industry for the years 2008-2012. This meeting will give an opportunity for directors of dairy enterprises to adopt work experience of fruit and vegetable enterprises, to familiarize with the activity of the AFVEK, like elaboration of strategy development for the industry, what will serve as a stimulus for further development and organization of the dairy sector.
